Hi, I have an 1986 XJ700S Maxim. I want to get an inline fuel filter and was wondering what size I would need.

    Thanks!

it should be a 1/4 inch size line so that would require a 1/4 inch fuel filter which they sell in the motorcycle section of advance auto or autozone for around 4 or 5 dollars.

no problem just be careful with the new filter make sure when you install it in the fuel line that it is straight down the fuel line no sharp angles. Just because the ends are often fragile and can snap off if at a sharp angle.

+1 on the 90° filter, fits nicely under the tank.
