As title says, I have a set of 8k mile carbs, but they have problems with the gas getting to the outer 2 carbs when I go on the freeway.....if I go slow and cruise they dont drain and I have all 4 cylinders Zoomin'.

Today the carbs began to leak from the fuel inlet seals..right out of where the fuel inlet swivels up and down... not safe in my eyes...lol.

I always had a problem with idle, If I held the throttle just a hair it would idle fine and run like a champ from there out....but they would keep the revs up high for too long if I adjusted the knob in the middle of the carbs.....so I had quite a few problems.....but I have put 2k miles as they were and was okay.

Also the choke would just not allow the bike to start, it would flood bad.....and then it would take some time to start....sometimes I would push start it to save the stress.

Thats more than you need to know, but if you could chime in with an offer or product or any info, that would be great. I would like to swap for a set of rebuilts or send them in for repair, thanks!!

I had the same problem with my 80 XJ650. The inlet to the two carbs was leaking. A local yamaha shop will have the two "O Rings" that are required. Remove the carbs from the bracket that keeps them in line and seperate the two that are connected with " T Fitting" there are two rubber rings that could be rotted and need replacing. I would try this first.
Also hello from Clovis, NM.......Just a thought

Some carbs had a SOLID "T"
Molded, raised ridges that need to be pressed in to the opening.

If that's the case. Line it up how you want it ... press it in there ... and don't move it again, after that.

My t does seem to move left to right about 1/8 of an inch. I will tear them apart and find out what it takes and go from there.

Anyone know where I can get the rebild kits for a good price and reliably, I do not want to wait weeks to get a product I pay for instantly, lol. I figured ebay had fair deal, but if anyone kows of a reliable seller, fill me in, thanks.
