One of the intake manifolds bolts snapped out upon removal of the manifolds. So i decided to take the whole engine out instead of just the head so that the oil sump cover can also be accessed and cleaned easily. this bike was a non-runner for years. It had lots of muddy oil in the cover. Upon the removal, i noticed was a dent/bend in the lower part of the frame. is this dents/bents original from factory?

    Are these two normal?

    Hi J,
PM 750E-II_29Rbloke on here as he has just recently re-framed his 29R and may still have his old frame or possibly recall the dents. Looking at the dents and the fact that the paint is no longer there would seem to suggest they are not normal. Check for cracked paint on the opposite side of the dent which would also be a sign. The 2nd & 3rd pic down looks like a crack in the bare steel.

    Hi mate,

Ok. I'll try to contact him. There weren't any cracks in the steel without the paint.

I believe that's factory...... but I'll check mine again this weekend when I'm home.

Check carefully where sidestand is welded on. Mine just tore the weld off once. Heard of that on other bikes as well Hidden rust can play a part there.
