I need to rebuild the front forks anyway on my 82 XJ650j, and it seems to me that I could just replace the lowers with units off of a 750 maxim, along with the calipers, rotors, and MC and get a dual disk setup. I read that the 750 forks are a direct replacement, but my tubes are good and I can get a set with bad inner tubes for a lot less than ones with good tubes. And I'm a cheapo. BTW are the 650 rotors the same size as the 750 rotors? Thanks for any advice given in advance.

Bump. I'm surprised no one knows the answer to this.
