In what order does the rebuild go: I don't remember.......Took both T-133 apart & can't remember the order....a senior moment...

Do you drop the resistor core in first, followed by the tension spring, followed by the spring seat disc, and finally the brass cap plug ?

    On my 1982 XJ750J Maxim

    Outers #1 & #4 are TD T-134 Non Rebuildable

    Inners #2 & #3 are TD T-133 Rebuildable

Spring, Brass Disc, Resistor, then Brass Cap

Can someoneconfirm if this is correct....I am not getting a ohm reading configured this way....

    Taken apart both resistor - test out at 4 to 5 K ohms for Caps# 2 & 3

Bigfitz, Please confirm if you can......Thanks....

    Outer Caps # 1 & 4 test good at 8.13k & 8.28k ohms

so coils are testing at 11k plus caps at above give total resistance of 19k ohms ...I believe this is perfect with -0- resistance plugs BP7ES

Just can't get a valid reading on plugs caps #2 & #3 or any reading at all

Are you certain the brass disc is laying flat on top of the spring before you install the resistor core? Might try swapping the coils.

Was it doing this prior to dis-assembling the caps? The coils are interchangeable. Swap the caps and re-test. Hope this helps.

Take em apart and put together again. I found if I didn't get everything in just right I wouldn't get a reading but that I could after a bit of fiddling. Also the resistor cores mite be damaged.

I am getting a reading from the resistor cores of 4-5k ohms......perfect....
