I might be in and out of the Hospital.
I got some lower-back and right-hip pain that's being investigated.

Thank you for all the thoughts and kind words.
I think I'll be in and out of the Hospital.
There's a great deal of testing to be done.

I'm on the disabled list.
Day to day.

 

My diagnosis may be as inaccurate as my xj attempts but I'm thinking hip replacement old son! My wife has had one and two knee replacements. If it is that pm me. I have access to comprehensive information on the best type of joint to use. More importantly the brands to avoid! Best of luck with it mate!

Not sure if it applies, but I did see a news article recently about a Dr in Texas who developed a new flexible material that can replace missing fluid/cartilage. His success rate was > 80%

 

Hope all turns out well Rick, and if you need replacement parts you know what to click on.....oh wait a minute Chacal only does bike parts.
Then again, he does seem able to get anything, maybe he's worth a try. :roll:

 

Lol that would be something if chacal had those in stock plus you would have them in just a couple days lol

I haven't been on in a while, and when I saw this thread, my heart skipped a beat. I'm glad it isn't as serious as it first appeared.

Thank you for all the kind words and PM's to get well.

The pain from some as-yet definitely diagnosed problem with my lower back has disabled me and recks havoc with my mental health.
Further testing is necessary to determine if there is some treatment that will be effective in alleviating some of the aches that interfere with being able to the thing I once took for granted.

Since it means going to the hospital and doctors offices quite a bit; I'm falling behind with everything I enjoyed doing with what was once "Spare time".

My ability to concentrate and be creative is severely impacted by all of this. I'm alerting the Administrator that site moderation is limited. I'll be recommending that Sno line-up another Moderator to keep watch for spammers and miscreants.

I hope for the best.

Dear Rick. I sincerely hope that things work out for you. My husband is partially disabled with a back issue (Vert. T7) and has had to make a very tough choice to give up motorcycling. Mostly due to the pain management meds that prevent him from being able to trust his reaction times and spacial judgement. Like you, his mental health has suffered greatly from the changes is his life caused by all of this.

Both of us can only hope and offer good mojo and best wishes with it all. Success depends greatly on the support of those in your immediate circle, your own attitiude, as well as the competence and abilities of your physicans. Hopefully you are in a position to receive good assistance on those fronts.

Stay positive, and know that even if things aren't their best right now, they may get better as time rolls by. Things may be different, but that doesn't mean they'll be any less satisfying.

Best wishes and sending out positive mojo your way from the both of us .. and don't give up on yourself. Like my husband says "It ain't over till it's over!" Stay strong, Abeja.

I pray that you be with Rick during this time, that you hold him and his family close and comfort them, that you make your love and concern known to them throughout this time. I ask that you bless the doctors with insight to understand, identify, and treat the miseries which plague his life. I pray that you show Rick and his family how to use this time to draw closer to you and to be a light of revelation to those around them.

Most of all Father, I ask in your Son's name that it be your Will to bring healing and wholeness to Rick in this life. Regardless, I rest in the knowledge and comfort that his resurrected body will be whole and complete, without flaw, blemish or pain. Amen

I'd rather be wrenching and spending time down in my little shop.
I let someone move my bike to make room for some stuff that needed to be stored down there.
They left the key on.

I need to pull the Battery. Top it up and charge it.
I'm not supposes to do that, ... right now.
What a deal!

I havent been on this site in years. Ran into a carb problem yesterday with a mikuni and hopped on here to shoot you an email. You helped me so much when I needed it so if you or your family needs anything please do not hesitate to ask. I'm a short drive away!!

I feel for you rick. I know how depressing it is. After my doctors messed me up a few years ago Mis diagnosis and treatments that took me from a little numbness in my feet and hands to no movement in my toes ankles and about 40 percent loss of hand movement. Since then i have had 3 operations on my feet and need 1 more to pin the bones in my feet back together. Found out today all the prednisone has taken its toll on my kidneys they are not sure if i will have to go on Dialysis or not. It really blows the wind out of your sales. Best of luck and dont be afraid to get 2nd opinions on everything wish i did. Not sure if i will ever finish the maxim x only thing left is to rebuild the carbs polish 1 cover and put fork seals in it. I have kinda lost interest i have a hard time shifting. The clutch is to hard for me anymore. My other 2 bikes i can ride i modified the shifter and the other is an automatic. I really need to figure out something soon with the maxim i have no room in the garage. Drive on lift 3 motorcycles 2 cars presses equipt ect. Hope you are doing better soon.

Parkinson's is spreading.
I've lost some motor skills.
I vibrate.

I managed to prep the Max for sale.
I'm also looking for someone who would like to buy-me-out of my 900 and wealth of 900 parts.
