Money permitting, back in the day I would have loved to have one with a smaller engine, as opposed to 88ci. There was that Harley-branded italian bike, but that was maybe 100cc, meaning it wasn't road legal in my state.

Aermacchi. These new models motors are derived from the V-Rod so they don't vibrate like the other Harleys.
I've always liked Harleys, just couldn't afford one.

Harley Davidson bought Aermacci to bring their bikes here and to gain access to a larger dealership network in Europe. They had machines from 50cc up to 350cc. The new 500 and 750 are clean-slate engines. They have little in common with the VRSC engine, other than being water cooled. They are very small motorcycles for their displacement.

I may be an old-ish fart who has only owned 750 Maxims and a 400 Burgman scooter, but I rather like the look.

I'm not a huge fan of the fairing/headlight cover but I'm sure there will be other options down the road.

The large black radiator on the blacked out P.R. press model looks kinda cool and large enough for custom paint for as desired.

Of course, I've turned my Maxim into a full bagger and I'm not sure if I'd actually want such a small and naked "new" bike - if I could ever afford it...

At least it won't vibrate like traditional HDs :)

I'd ride one, but I'm not a fan of the radiator.

I wonder what numbers they pull on power, it's hard to get away from 4 cylinders.

The news article that I read on these bikes said that the motors were small versions of the Revolution X motor of the V-Rod platform.

these strike me as a copy of a copy. the Japs copied Harley's twin now Harley copies the Jap bikes.
don't know about young urbanites wanting old school styling in a smaller nimbler package either, thats why they come out with a new Iphone every six months
