How much do you guys pay for plate stickers?

    I just received a letter from licensing (Washington State) requesting 44 bucks for the tabs on my 83 XJ750MK. (every year)

    I think that is a lot of money, since I pay about the same for my car.

    Is it as bad in other states? What do you guys pay?

    I just registered mine about 2 weeks ago, and it cost me like $10.xx, but it is only for 1 year, our plates in wisconsin are good for 2 years, and all cycle plates are up on april of even years.

    About $22 a year for tags, around $50 for tags and plates in Ohio.....not too bad I guess compared to Washington!

    I just got my renewwal notices in the mail.

    $44 for the V Star
    $15 for the Seca

    That's annually in Colorado.

    Each year the V Star renewal goes down until it bottoms out at $15. Last year it was $63.

    I think I paid $12 something in Missouri. But... That's only 10 months since all motorcycles expire in april, and I'll have to pay personal property tax (next year, not this year since I didn't have it on Jan 1) which will be something like $60? Oh, and the inspection sticker (every year as well) is $10. So that's actually about $80.

    Personal property tax on my '03 volkswagen, IIRC is like $200, so it's about $240 for a car.

    some things are still a bargain here in FL, MC tag renewal is $24, vanity plate adds only $12, mine is CHLYHOG, i just checked and "XJ700N" is available!!! whether good or bad we can also legally ride w/no insurance on a MC, so you can stay on the road legally for just that $24/yr.... so are you guys paying excise tax? I remember that from MA, we dont have it here.

    Damn! Maryland's pretty expensive!

    Mark1366, $9 for the city tag sure beats the $80 or whatever it is they get for a car these days ;)

    I'm in IL, too, so $38 for the state (compared to $78 for a cage), $5 every 2 years for the village (versus $20/2 years for the cages). We don't have inspections here.

    IL used to have a similar plate rotation to WI, (all came due in April) but just in the last few years we went to 'One year from the time it's plated," just like cars. I'm guessing there are getting to be too many bikes to handle that rush once a year :D

    My 05 BMW R1200GS cost $148 a year, more than my car 8O , and my 82 XJ Turbo $26, plus $16 each for inspections.

    i believe the winner for cheapest has to go to MN.... but your riding season has to be short too...how much is the reg on the snowmobile for the rest of the year :lol: :lol:

    In Saskatchewan, when you buy your plates, you are also buying insurance. Insurance covers personal injury, vehicle damage and $200,000 liability. The deductible is $700.00. For this I pay $427.00/year. Since I only ride 5 months a year, I go with the monthly payment option of $37.00/month X 5 months = $185.00.
