Just curious as to everyones use(s) for the majical product of Sea Foam??

I recently placed a swig in my crank case (two nights ago) and now as if by majic a slight clutch slip while under heavy acceleration is gone?!?! I intend to change the oil tonight (20/50 Valvoline cycle blend). I changed the oil just a month ago, but it's already looking dark thru the sight glass, can only imagine it's from the last couple years of sitting!! I fugure I'll continue to change it every few hundred (400-500) miles and continue the Sea Foam treatments a couple days prior!

I also gave the tank a shot as well!

What are your thoughts and uses?

SeaFoam is really good at what it's made for. It works as good or better then any other can-o-majic out there and if the problem with the engine is something SeaFoam is really good at then the results surely will look miraculous.

People have published a lot of formulas on the "secret" way to use this stuff. That certainly has it's place and I use it sometimes in the gas tank as a carb clean. Still, I'm more of a fan of "if the hard parts are all correct, then all you need is gas and oil to make it run right."

Where can you buy this seafoam stuff? Maybe it could help clean my carbs. If so how do I use it once found?

You can get it at almost any autoparts store.

It's in a very plain looking can.

So i can just pour some into my tank, and there you go? Don't have to drain it after.

no yu dont have to drain it.
i find it workd best if yu put a whole can in with a full tank....then go for a short ride....so it gets into the carbs.
    then let it sit overnight.
then go for short rides until yu hit reserve before yu fill up again.

If you put it in your oil just make sure to only run it long enough to mix it with the oil! You definitely don't want to ride with thinned out oil.

Well I put some in the oil. How long should I ride it before I change the oil?

From my own experience........put it in the crank case and run it for about 10 minutes.......after that, put in some cheap oil and run it again for a little while (about 10 minutes). Then change back to your regular oil. From what I have seen, it works wonders in this particular order. It has been expanded upon in other forums as well.

Change the filter. Everytime you change the oil. Keep oil changes to spec and the motor should go "forever".

Only use the seafoam like described above as a engine flush, then never again unless storing the bike.

Don't add anything to your oil for normal riding. Oil companys spend $$$$$$$ getting the oil blend just right, most if not all additives should be avoided.
