I figure I would try to grab the interest of the Western Wisconsin group of riders on the forum

If there is enough interest, a group ride would be an excellent idea

So, how many of us exist?

I'm around the Eau Claire/Chippewa Falls area

 

I am also in the chippewa falls area, i just eed to get plates and should be good to go

 

Proud new owner - I live in Hudson. Would love to be a part of a ride.

 

We need a thread for the Eastern Wisconsin riders too! Maybe you could amend your subject to "Western Wisconsinites Unite!"

 

I'm from Curtiss (45 miles East of Eau Claire)
I work every other weekend, but would be really interested in a group ride!
I have the 1'st & 3'rd weekends of in Jan, June, July, Aug, Nov, Dec.
And the 2'nd & 4'th weekends in Feb, Mar, Apr, May. Sept, Oct.
Also interested in meeting other riders in the area from this site.

Also... What would be the possibility of getting T shirts printed with
this sites Logo on them?

 

im from lacrosse and would love to go on a ride sometime, im the only one of my friends that has a bike so usually im flyin solo.

Milwaukee as well. Haven't been too active in the garage lately but gearing up for the winter projects in hopes of finally getting back on the road in spring.

I would not mind going out on a long ride this spring; assuming I get everything fixed.

 

La Crosse checking in for the second time. Some great rides down this way this time of year. We should try to get some sort of wisconsin xj ride together.

Yep- Oshkosh/Fox Cities area here! Just took mine on a nice long ride with friends around the north side of Winnebago, and down all the back roads through the Kettle Moraine Senic Road... it was quite scenic! They were mostly on Harleys, but there was one other Yami in the group; a 2006 650 Classic.

 

Good to see more Oshkosh/Fox Valley folks showing up! Welcome!

What do you have going (or not going) on?
What year/ model? Does it turn over? Last time it ran? Etc. etc. etc.

Right now free time for me is limited, got my termination notice after 11 years at a large corporation and I am focusing hard on finding new employment.

Sheboygan here! There are a few XJ riders in town, actually...just don't know any of them! A buddy of mine has an XJ, too, but I'm not 100% on his CCs.

I like the idea of a regional ride. There's no better way to get to know your surroundings (or neighbors)!

 

We should put together a ride into the 'driftless area'.
I just spent a week just northwest of Viroqua and they have some BEAUTIFUL winding roads out there.

Gotta watch out for the Amish buggies and the horse poop as well as loose gravel in some of the turns.

 

Eau Claire reporting in. I'd love to go for a group ride sometime this spring/summer/fall. I've got a red XJ750 Seca 1981.

 

Curtiss here (near Abbotsford) ... recovering from hernia surgery but should be able to ride in a couple weeks.

 

I'm in st. Paul but it's an easy ride out to Hudson.

We bought a farm in Irma (just south of Tomahawk).
Still own the house in Milwaukee (for now) and are living a dual life.
The XJ is there until spring and she will be coming up here . . . They are calling for up to 14" of snow tonight - spring isn't that close yet!

My parents also have a place not far from there in Eagle River.

I have a 1982 XJ1100 Maxim, got her last fall. Has begun to fall apart on me since, but still rides.
Yes, I know the shop. I live only a few blocks from there. They charged me 300 dollars to replace a starter relay...
Now I work on the bike myself! I now know where to grab shims, how much are they asking?

Secret - when you drive up (assuming you take 51 north), just past the highway S exit into Tomahawk; at mile marker 227 there is a small stream that goes under 51. On multiple occasions we have seen bald eagles hanging out above the stream on the east side of the road. 2 weeks ago there were two of them on a dead tree branch sitting shoulder to shoulder.

The stream comes out of Skanawan Lake and feeds into the Wisconsin River and it obviously holds some tasty treats!

Is that the stream that has two bridges over it? If so, I jumped off of the train track bridge 2 summers ago!
