Another backrest question (deleted my response in the other thread to keep from hijacking)...

Is a backrest from an '82 Maxim 650 compatible with an '83 Maxim 750?

    The backrest in question

The pad itself is similar but the mount for the 750 backrest is very different. The 750 maxim tall backrest is not a common part..... One of those "unobtanium" parts. BUT..... You're in luck -- I have one. Send me a PM message ( little button at the bottom of this post) and we can talk.

Messages will stay in the outbox til the recipient reads it. That's how we know if people read their messages. I haven't checked my inbox yet, but will be doing so shortly, then you'll see that the message goes to your sent box instead....

Oops....mis-read the question: you asking mbrulla the question. However, I think you mis-read the forum----

He asked about putting a backrest from a 650 maxim (shown) onto his 750 maxim (shown at the bottom). I answered his post that I have a 750 maxim talk backrest. He has first dibs on that.
