Hey everyone, I do mostly daylight riding and purchased this bulb off of Ebay. All I had to do was reverse the positive and negative on the plug and it works and looks very nice. I can say that is is a bright white with a minor hint of blue and seems much brighter than the ordinary H4 bulb.

here is the listing on Ebay

I am in no way connected to the seller of this bulb other than I just purchase and installed it on my Maxim..

    hope this helps

Not DOT approved. No high beam. How does it look to oncoming traffic?

In my opinion, and those of a friend that passed me, it was very bright and noticeable.

That means you ticked them off because they were blinded.... Lucky for you it wasn't a cop.

Also, better make sure that when it does burn out, it does it during the day rather than on a dark foggy road with suicidal deer---

I went out for a ride last night. It is brighter than the old bulb, however not so bright that people were flashing their headlights at me.

Well, regular bulbs burn out and I don't ride on dark foggy roads at night, that is what my other XJ is for..Jeep Cherokee..

This was just an fyi..Information to share....guess it was mistake

Not a mistake Bruce, I make led lights for all my bikes, nice to see what they sell.
There's a mountain bike forum that gets downright ignorant about the DOT stuff if you mention a street vehicle. They do make some nice little lights though.
What I've noticed is "splashback" from white reflective signs, because of the wrong. Beam shape.
