Ok I'm gonna go ahead and do a rattle can job on the bike. Gonna flat black it. Now is their any specific way I should do this. Or is wet sand and then flat black it ok. How many coats would be good, and should I throw some clear on it,( i don't want it shiny though).

Yes, put one light coat of clear on it for protection.....Start the clear coat right as the last coat of black starts to get tacky.....Dont use too much or you will have a shine. Good luck. I rattle cann'ed my tank and it looks great, so dont worry. It's not rocket science. :)

If you have a decent rattle can selection, you can get a matte finish clear coat that works good and doesn't get shiny.

I'd try to see if Duplicolor High heat clearcoat came in matte. If not I'd use the Duplicolor high heat and top it with a matte after it dried. Easier to retouch the clear than the paint.
