Just spent a 'happy' hour trying to get the barrels back on the bike. Thought it might be bit tricky single handed but soon discover that chamfered bores and the piston holding blocks make it simpler..
    ..at first

Got the first two (top) pistons in but couldn't get past the the top ring on the remaining
two. Convinced my self it was trickier since they were not supported like the first two..
Each time i got clear of ring 2 on one side, the other side popped out. bruised the side of my hand as I kept chopping lighly on the top of th barrels :?

eventually it dawned on me it was pivoting in the middle- Stuck on a stud maybe ? Since it's a bit gloomy in my small cellar workshop it took me a good 5 mins to spot the tensioner guide was OUTSIDE the barrels and now sporting a slight shave.. B*gger ! Ten minute later its all together (Not the head - that's for tomorrow..)

I pass this on in the hope of saving someone else a frustrating evening.

PS Read clymer before I started and it of course mentions teh cam chain, but not the tensioner guide. . not that that's an excuse for such buffoonery.

PPS The lure of a cheap, road legal FZ750 is getting stronger with each passing day..
