Funny, I've sent and email, as directed above, PM, and replied to another forum where he advertised for getting rid of these parts.

    Still no word............

Starting to think about that story about the bridge again..........

I recieved the Blinks man They are awesome.
I had to make brackets for them since I do not yet have the stock stems for the front but they are great.
I almost cried when they blinked with the engine at idle and with engine shut off. Fantastic.

The 700's forks are a little longer and the rake is more than the 650/750.
But I have seen someone put a 700 front end on a 650 for a little extra rake.

as long as you have the correct bearings... I don't remember at the moment if the bearing size is the same or not, and I don't remember if the spindle is the same length.

But, assuming the correct length and the correct bearings, yes you could do that. Just make sure to use the complete triple clamp.....then you use the whole front end of the 700, and it also gives you dual brakes, too. You'd just have a mismatched front rim.

Is there a size difference for the front axle?
If there's a different size axle, you could probably use the bearings from the other wheel. Given that the difference of bearing size would be the inner diameter only of course( which it probably is if there is a difference).
Would also need to use the MC and line splitter from the 700 to use the dual disc's.
Funny how one mod leads to so many others. LOL

I believe the fork spacing is a little different, I could be wrong.

Regardless, as I said in my previous statement......and reiterating what someone else already said---

    >Just make sure to use the complete triple clamp.....then you use the whole >front end of the 700, and it also gives you dual brakes, too.

That automatically covers the fact that you'd use the correct master cylinder, lines, splitter, etc.... from the 700 for the dual discs on the 700 rim.

The only potential sticky point on the mod would be the steering stem lengths and bearings sizes. As long as THAT is compatible, the swap is incredibly easy.

If I get a chance, I'll measure up or mock up some parts later today.

I think the rotors and/or spacing is different from the 650 to the 700 too.... I'll do a compare later today
