Yes, they both take a 130/90/16. I am not sure if the rims are interchangeable or not..... Logic says they should be -----

If you find they do interchange, you will need to use the respective shoes, brake cover, etc..... As the 700 drum is larger

    Some quick measuring--
700 forks are just about 8" center to center
650 forks are about 7 5/16" center to center

The 700 swing arm and shaft are stronger than the 650, best bet would be to swap the whole swing arm assembly.... Then you know everything fits AND it's stronger too

    Ok, next set of measurements----

I didn't take things apart to measure, so I measured outside diameters when able. Here's general results:
700 and 650 steering stems seem to be the same length
But 700 bearing cups are bigger, stem is thicker

So there would have to be custom ordered bearings to do the swap.

The bearing would need to be:
OD - the diameters of bearings for the 650 maxim head tube
ID - the diameters of the spindle for the 700

I'd suggest a call to Syracuse Bearing, or Kaman Corp....

I'd like to say a big thanks to thejewishguy, my favorite Mensch at the XJ forum, for the quick delivery of a perfect set of handlebars.
I thought I would have to schlep my yiddishe kup all over ebay, then pay those shmendriks whatever cockamamie price they dreamed up in their kolboynick heads. And still end up feeling like a schmoe when the dreks show up and they came off some meshegeners Honda.
But that didn't happen and I now own a pair of shining XJ bars...whoot whoot
(my favorite meshugena likes 'em too, she said, “Even a schmuck like you will be safer riding a bike with handlebars that point in the same direction”)
    :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
