Those are factory bars, but missing the plastic covers. They vanished at some point over the last 30 years.

Im looking for suggestions for good touring bars. Sometimes on long rides, my wrists start to hurt due to the position the factory bars have.

I'd recommend a European bend bar. I've got a seemingly short version but will be upgrading to a European bend bar during the off season (hopefully). Same bike as yours so it should work fine. Decent rise and draw although a little lower than stock.

I might give the GP touring a shot. They come in black, and really are inexpensive. If I dont like them I can always take them off. My only concern would be how they work with my windscreen. Ever since I put that on I have been in love with it.

I also like the fact that the GP touring bars come in black. I have a vision in the future to replace the factory carbs with ones off of a midnight Maxim and paint the diaphragm covers black and replace the factory exhaust with the MAC black exhaust or refinish the factory exhaust in flat black. Leaning more towards refinishing my factory exhaust. Its clean and rust free, so looking at prepping and painting the chrome factory swept exhaust.
