Here is a pic of what is inside that XJS V-12 of mine....a V-12....no Chevy 350 going in this one.....

this V-12 runs great......just have to be aware of the Marelli ignition Meltdown.....where the the Marelli dual ignition rotor burns thru...thus stopping fire to either bank of 6 cylinders causing raw fuel to dump into catalytic converters...... then starting a car fire for which is all one can do to pull over & get out before the car blows up....

When this car is running, the Jag has great high end torque....

And that was only a scale model. 8O

Keep the V-12 and make it work.

This is one of the 6 non-motorized vehicles that take up spot 2 in the garage. (4 more of these and 1 kayak)

I had one of those about 30 yea... a looong time ago... had about a 3-1 glide ratio. Only place we had to fly was a dune near Lake Michigan which gave us about 30 sec of air time for every 30 minutes of climbing back up the dune with it! :p what can I say.. we were young and dumb with lots of energy to burn! lol

Warren Dunes? I was up there many times with my dad. (I was still in diapers then)
We get 9:1 in the beginner gliders now. High performance wings get 20:1. We also tow up behind ultralights now. Trekking up and down a sand dune is too old fashion! ;)

I would LOVE to get towed to a respectable height with a glider! The dune we used was south of Holland, Laketon Township Park. We tried the Bowl north of Grand Haven but that had power lines and a road at bottom of the hill... not the best mix for a hang glider ! :p lol
