Have you checked the xj classified ads here. Sometimes people are selling them used. I scored one for fifty bucks a few years ago had it sandblasted and ceramic coated total investment was a hundred fifty dollars.

I haven't seen anything in the classifieds, but I think I am probably not very good at searching.

Do you like these pipes/mufflers on your bikes?
Also do you think they would fit the seca? According to Dennis Kirk's website they fit the 750's both maxim and seca, and the 650 maxim, but not the 650 seca.

    Thanks for your help

mine was a basket case so i don't really know what it was originally for. there is no bracket for mounting to the underside of the bike. it just misses the centerstand bracket on the frame.
i don't use the muffler, went with a supertrapp instead.
i'am guessing but it sounds like a centerstand issue, if that's important to you

Does that mean I might not be able to use the center stand with the exhaust on?

That would be kind of a deal breaker for me.

Also I checked again on their website and it says it would fit all the various XJ 750's and the 900 so if anyone has both bikes and could compare that would be awesome.

Sorry to keep hammering away at this.

Stand by before you go spend big bucks for your 4 into 1. I have one you can have for a pittance and shipping. I will send some pics as soon as I can. I am going to be out of town for about a week but will get you a shipping estimate, if you can wait. Mine is used and bit of surface rust but solid.

Can anyone provide a sound clip of what a 4-1 exhaust sounds like on perhaps a 750 maxim or whatever you have available? I like a nice throaty sound and wondering what route to take in terms of exhaust should I go with a 4-1 MAC or should I bite the bullet and just save towards a custom exhaust build? - thanks!
heres a link of a custom exhaust that has the sound i love

Heres what the 4-1 wolf exhaust sounds like on my 650, not quite as deep as that custom setup
