I am curious as to how many miles you put on per riding season
I am in South Dakota and I use my bike to drive to work
I average 25 miles per day
I think this season I have put on almost 4000 miles
also I am still riding, even thou some mornings it is 30F when I ride home
    when do you give up?
do you follow the 50F and up rule?
I have maybe another week of riding left as I am starting
surgery 1 of 2 for Carpel Tunnel

I'm down in Mississippi, our winters are pretty mild. I usually end up riding year round unless it's one of those rare occasions we get snow or ice, but that only lasts for a few days. Hope your surgery goes well.

Don't have a "season" we ride year round except a few weeks of the harshest cold. Hard to tell mileage as I ride a different bike to work every Friday(split 4 ways) and recreational rides are split 3 ways, her GSXR, or one of mine Duc, Seca or RC51
Guessing less than 3K miles a year total

I ride year round to work except when there is snow and ice on the road or extreme weather. I average about 5500 to 6000 miles a year on the bikes (3 to 4 bike are register at any given time)

I follow the >50 <85 rule. It is just too hot and humid here in Florida from May to September. I ride strictly for recreation averaging only 500 miles a year. It is also very flat here, and sometimes even a challenge to find a nice location for the recreational ride - no color in the trees as we have an overabundance of mostly pine trees.

With the drought in California I've managed to ride year round. My wife's car getting totaled also kinda forced me to ride every day, rain or shine. The Seca was purchased two years ago this month, with 19K on the clock. Im about a couple hundred away from 38K.

I put anywhere from 3 - 4k per year. Two different scenarios for the weather, Back in Houston area where I lived most of my life I rode year round, good down in the twenties. Now that I have moved closer to the great white north and coming up on my first real winter here, I'll have to see. On the XJ (for sale) I was good into the twenties now on my new bike with great wind protection and heated grips, I may go even further unless there is snow or ice to deal with.

I've been averaging around 4K per season, and will ride down to 40 degrees.

Not that I couldn't handle lower temps with the new windscreen I just installed, but I have a few bridges on the way to work and can't trust the road surface, and the de-icer (calcium chloride) they put down is extremely caustic.

I'd rather be more cautious and keep the shiny side up, and keep it shiny after the countless hours spent in getting my X into the condition it's in.

Put about 8000km on it last summer, only about 1800km this summer thanks to intermittent problems. My riding season is April to November, I don't dare ride in below or close to zero degree (C) temps, freezing rain comes out of nowhere here.

This year about 5500 miles. The 750 maxim Done a 4400 mile road trip in sept. from Tn. to Co. and back. It was fantastic! I'd do it again. I never had so many bikers talk to me about riding that far on it and saying Ya, I remember those bikes!
