If I get my work done early and can shake other social obligations, I JUST might get some time in the C-152 this afternoon. Oh, and if the weather holds.

Oh, and yeah, love the getup. Reminds me of me modeling my new "SEE ME! Yellow" Shoei RF-1000:

I put over 120 miles on the Maxim on Sunday, and very briefly hit a personal top speed of just over 100mph on a wide open freeway.

    Fun stuff.

Haha... In this state (Kentucky), ppl look at me like I am some queer guy cause I have a full helmet like those in these pictures on a bike like ours. In my state, most ppl DON'T wear a helmet (its not required by law). Those who do, only wear a partial helmet. I have two helmets - a full helmet like what you guys have in these pics, and a partial one I use around town. The full is for highway riding only. Still, though, the full helmet you NEVER see on a standard bike; only on crotch rockets around here...

How true it is! At least my state requires helmets and I don't have to put up with the looks from people. Isn't it strange about how a certain helmet is deemed appropriate for certain bikes also. I was standing in line at a convenient store to buy a soda and overheard a woman talking to the guy behind the counter one day. He had this custom HD outside the door and one of those bump cap placebo type helmets hanging from it. The topic of conversation was that his bike was "too cool" to wear a helmet but his bump cap looked OK and suited it just fine to satisfy the law. I never see anyone wearing a full faced helmet riding a chromed out custom cruiser like on the HD's. I have to admit that it would even look strange to me because I have been predisposed to the norm of what I am use to seeing people wear on the road. I sometimes wish that I didn't have to wear one when just tooling around the town roads going 35-40mph. I just remind myself that my head and face is worth it and it's for my own good to live to ride again the next day. I wrecked my Honda MT250 at a rock quarry in my younger days and was wearing a regular helmet with one of those rock guards that just snapped on it. I wasn't going all that fast but managed to go off a steep embankment and now I have 4 of my front teeth crowned from kissing the ground. I really don't need to be risking stuff like that anymore and am willing to still take chances but reducing the odds by protecting myself more than I use too. Maybe I have to get road rash next before I buy some leathers and better boots for protection. You can only protect yourself so much anyway but that is still no excuse for cutting down the risk as much as you can I guess. Having missing skin would not be pleasant at all.

I dont agree with the helment or seat belt laws that we in VA have, but if people dont ware them and get into a crash i dont feel sorry or bad for them when i learn that they were not wareing a helment or seat belt. I figure that it takes the dum dumbs out of the ever shrinking pool of DNA. Always have that helment on your head, its a cool thing all of the cool people use it and you should too, even more when your just going on thoughs back roads for short trips. Remember that most accidents occure just a few miles from your house or starting point.
