What Tank Years Will Fit?

    I have an '85 XJ700 Maxim and I need a new tank. The current one leaks pretty bad from the lower right corner. I've read that a 750 will fit but what year models interchange. I think I read somewhere that a 85 and 86 are the same. will other year models work as well? what about a 650?

    All the same, except:

    -85- round emblems, 86 oval emblems

    -CA model has an extra nipple under the tank for emissions stuff, just cap it and swap to a vented cap for non-CA bike.

    Other tanks will not fit without modification.
