I'm looking to up the pilot jet size in my 81 XJ550H due to exhaust/intake changes. If I remember correctly, this bike has the non-bleed type of Mikuni pilot jet. Is someone able confirm this? I don't have the carbs off the bike at this moment and want to get them ordered.

Contact XJ4Ever and simply get the correct parts. Dancing logo/link in upper right corner of page.

When you say "pilot jet" are you talking about the pilot air or pilot fuel jet?

    Here's an exploded Mikuni BS28, photographed: http://www.xjbikes.com/forums/index.php?threads/mikuni-carbs-part-1-exploded-view-with-pics.31061/

(Not fully exploded, I didn't file the screws and pull the butterfly, shaft and throttle shaft seals. That'll be part 2. I gotta talk myself into tearing that far into a brand new carb.)
