petcock issues, please help!

    Rebuilt the petcock just now with oem factory parts (1981 seca 750 xj) the selector/switch to move from on to res to pri doesn't move now. I took it back apart to compare and same stuff just newer and in better condition lol. Any thoughts. I know it has something to do with the o-ring on it.

    Tom, often a symptom of inadvertently putting the indexing plate in upside down, or backwards.

    Take it back apart and check. If you STILL have trouble, PM me and I'll take one of mine apart for you to compare.

    Not sure what was wrong with it. Took the o-ring out then back in and now it works. Maybe it wasn't seated right or something

    Yup, now cam cover seal, spark plugs, fuel and it should fire up
