I'm parting out a complete running 1982 Yamaha xj650 from Toronto, Ontario. Almost fully complete at this point minus gas tank and starter. I bought the bike with the intention of parting it out, as everything is there, in good condition, with a great engine.

Let me know what you need, also if you are worried about dealing with a new member we can do the sale through ebay/paypal so that you have buyer protection, I am honest, but it's hard to trust people on the net. I've sold a couple of items here, so there should be feedback on the forum shortly.

I've got fairly good condition side covers as well.

    Sold Parts
    - Starter
    - Gas tank

Still have MANY parts, just about everything is in minimum decent shape. I am also willing to pull the engine apart and sell bits and pieces if people are interested. It only had 30 000 km or 18 000 miles on it, and was in great working order.

Anything you are interested just ask and I will have pictures up same day or next, there are just too many parts to post.

    Sold:
    Starter
    Flasher relay
    Front left turn signal
    Front Fender
Top End Brake Assembly (still have hose and caliper)
    Ignition Module
    Seat/Helmet Lock
    Speedometer

    Thanks,

    Stewart Robb

I am interested in the headlight! Does this bike have dual front brakes? If so I am also interested in the master cylinder.

Ya apparently they all share the same dohc engine of that year, the 650 750 and 900, so it definitely should. I've been meaning to pull it off, I'll have a bunch of parts off by friday and will post pics/list on Ebay (xj members have priority).

Because that side is taken off much more often in order to get to the battery. That equals more stress from flexing as well as more chances for strong-armed impatient people getting mad at it and not taking they're time to remove it carefully.

yeah, guess what? all three attachment points on mine have been replaced (by previous owner) with beautiful zip ties. Matches the duct tape seat cover perfectly!
