I have tried different flasher relays and even a led flasher. When turned on either side they just stay solid on. I've tried new battery, checked connections. Any ideas or knowledge of this problem??? Thanks

Stock flasher – have you by chance changed the flashing assemblies or bulbs? The stock Yamaha flasher requires the front and rear 27W bulbs to function correctly. You must also have a functioning auto cancel assembly and control switch. Operation of the stock setup is explained in the below link.

LED Flasher – the aftermarket flasher will need to hook-up to the Brown and Brown/White wire. The Yellow/Green wire is from the cancelling unit, and if installing an aftermarket flasher there will be no connection to that wire if you are willing to give up auto cancel. To restore auto cancel with an aftermarket flasher: http://www.xjbikes.com/forums/index.php?threads/how-to-convert-to-leds-and-still-have-everything-work.14068/

Well that sounds like my problem, my bulbs aren't drawing enough current. So I'll either try the flasher trick or put 1157's back in there. It's snowing here at the moment, so little to cold in the shed to tinker with it right now.
Thank You for the information, greatly appreciated!!
