Hey guys, long time no post! Sorry about that - long story that I'll save for later.

I'm finally getting around to selling off some of my unneeded parts from my remodel ventures. I'm not going to list prices - just make a decent offer + shipping.

All of my parts are off my 1982 XJ650 (J) Maxim. It's black, or at least it was before I got to it.

    1. SOLD - Circular sealed-bulb headlight and housing (sorry, no bracket, already sold that) Headlight works.
    2. Left side-cover without the "MAXIM" decal. No evidence that it was ever there.
    3. SOLD - Right side-cover without the "MAXIM" decal. No evidence that it was ever there.
    4. Plastic electronics mounting plate, from behind the side cover.
    5. Plastic chain-lock container.
    6. Rear fender (chrome half) - lots of rust underneath and tar splatter from the road, minor spotting on top side - no dents that I see.
    7. Rear fender/splash guard (plastic half), tar splatter from the road.
    8. License plate bracket.
    9. Rear tail light assembly. Light bulb included, all in working order.
    10. SOLD - Airbox plus air filter. Filter lid and drain hose included.
    11. Left rear turn signal with mounting bracket and light bulb included.
    12. Right rear turn signal with mounting bracket and light bulb included.
    13. One front turn signal with light bulb included.
    14. One damaged front turn signal with working light bulb included. Orange lens is cracked, but glued together. Housing is dented and marred, but usable. I doubt anyone wants this one, but I'm listing it just in case. I'll include it for free with anything else.
    15. Left front turn signal mounting stem.
    16. Right front turn signal mounting stem.
    17. SOLD - Battery container.
    18. GONE - (Threw it in the trash, since you guys should be upgrading your fuses anyway.) - Plastic fuse box. This is only the container, not the metal hardware.
    19. SOLD - Rear grab bar.
    20. SOLD - Seat hook/lever with spring. No mounting hardware.
    21. Center stand. Heavy rust, but still structurally sound. No spring or bolts included.
    22. Soft plastic/rubber front fork "YAMAHA" name plate. Original chrome plating has chipped off. Spray-painted silver.
    23. SOLD - Left chromed airbox cover.
    24. SOLD - Right chromed airbox cover.
    25. SOLD - Crankcase breather tube. Clamps included.
    26. 8" Negative terminal battery ground cable.
    27. SOLD - Left-hand rectangular mirror.
    28. SOLD - Right-hand rectangular mirror.
    29. Left passenger footpeg.
    30. Right passenger footpeg.
    31. Left passenger footpeg bracket. (Sorry, the right bracket broke, so I only have the left one.)
    32. GONE - (Sacrificed to aluminum smelting project) - Clutch lever. Chipping and dents.
    33. GONE - (Sacrificed to aluminum smelting project) - Brake lever. Chipping and dents.
    34. SOLD - Master cylinder/reservoir block. You will need a rebuild kit for this.
    35. Pony-tail style handlebars.
    36. GONE - (Sacrificed to aluminum smelting project) - Engine side cover. Some road rash in one corner. Says "YAMAHA YICS" with the YICS in red. I believe it's the right side cover, but I will verify if you're interested.
    37. Two rear shocks. Minor rusting visible.
    38. Positive battery terminal connector with the rubber cover.
    39. Oil filter housing and internals. (I got the spin-on filter conversion kit from Chacal, so I don't need those parts anymore.)

Interseted in the headlight - can I get a pic and maybe a measurement (total width). I believe that will bolt right in to the ears for my rectangle one off of the 750.

    Thanks!

I just realized I have another part to add: the positive battery terminal connector with the rubber cover. I've updated the list above to include it.

Funny I have all the same parts left over, except for the Fork Emblem. 'Yamaha'
    No. 22

    $5 part? $5 shipping?

RiceBiker hasn't responded to his PM yet, so I'm considering 22 still up for grabs. I'll PM you with prices for each, just in case he does before you and I finalize something. Fair enough?

Silly Hogfiddles. I'd never do that. I'd take it to the scrap yard. They pay you cash. ;)

    PM coming your way, Ed.

I think you could technically put the passenger pegs in the rider position with some finagling, but I wouldn't recommend it. The passenger pegs can be left in the "up" position, and don't spring back like the rider pegs would. You wouldn't want that to happen while going 70mph in heavy traffic.

I actually noticed that right after you had sent me the photos! (thanks for those by the way). I was checking out the brackets and noticed the spring. On that note, i'll have to pass on them!!

I know its not listed on the OP but would the exhaust system be available to sell? I'm heading over to Akron in a couple weeks so shipping would be avoided. Feel free to PM me if you want (with pics if possible!) as I'm still getting used to the new site format.

Nope, sorry. I hacked it to pieces then welded it back together with some shorty baffles. There's no going back now.

How much for the grab bar? Just to be sure, your talking about the aluminum piece that wraps around the seat that the shock bolts run through?

Can you pm me a price for 32 and 33. Do they also have the bushings in them? Will they fit 81 650 maxim?
Also do you know if the side cover 2 would also fit a 1981 650 maxim?
    Thanks

In the top right corner of this webpage, you'll have an "Inbox" up in the header. Clicking that will take you to all the "conversations" you have. There should be one from me. But, I'm flexible, so I'll send you an email too.

It appears that the handles will fit all 650 maxim. Still not sure on the side cover. Have to look some on that.

According to Chacal (the XJ4Ever guy) all side covers for XJ650s are the same part, so you should be good with mine. Ditto on the levers. I'll get you pictures soon. Work and school are taking all my time!

I updated the list again on the first page. I'm looking forward to getting rid of what's left, and that'll be at the scrap yard if no one else claims anything! I'll also accept trades of aluminum, as I've started a backyard aluminum casting project on the side. Yes, I'll post videos/pictures/etc later on when I've had my fill of that fun. :)

What shape are the signals in? I need all 4, no idea what the PO did as they're all broke. I'm doing a decent restore so don't need pefect but want nice ones.
