For Sale Two XJ550 Maxim gas tanks

    I have two XJ550 Maxim gas tanks that I am no longer using. As always, free pick up if you drive down to San Diego, CA.

    Grey XJ550 Maxim gas tank (20$ + shipping)
    The first one is the tank originally on my bike, and I replaced it because the always appeared wet at the seams near the bottom rear and someone had obviously patched is on the bottom as well.

    Black XJ550 Maxim gas tank (90$ + shipping)
    The second tank is one I purchased on ebay only to find out that someone screwed the yamaha emblems on with pointy non OEM screws and, well, poked holes in the side of the tank.

    If you send me an e-mail I can send pics of both tanks, the 500kb limit here is pretty lacking.

    Unfortunately no. 550 tanks are the slightly smaller size :(

    that may just be perfect. smaller how? are they as long from front to rear of bike? (sorry, relative newb to the xj scene). :)

    They are slightly shorter lengthwise on the mounting points, enough so that they don't quite reach the mount points on the 650/750's.
