    So far I've found that it does exactly what it's made to do (tried it out on my truck this afternoon). I think the negatve reviews come from people who were expecting an app that is entirely automatic. One of the reviews was for a user expecting it to work on electric motors, which is not what the app is designed to do. I think it is well worth the money considering that similar home-brew RMP meters used to cost triple that in parts, and any adjustments had to be made by altering the hardware.

    One of the troubles people may be having is that background noise will effect the reading. I think that using this with a contact mic would be preferable to using it with the built-in mic on the phone.

    i looked at some android apps that do the same thing, have to try some of those out. there's a way to set the idle mixture with rpm but i forget the procedure but i'am sure google knows

    You do one carb at at a time and look for the idle to drop when you go either too lean or too rich. The midpoint of the two idle drops is where you want the mix set to.

    This weekend I ran across something that I forgot about. During WWII multi-engine bombers used audio systems to synchronise the engines to each other ( to reduce vibration and stress on the airframe). So while you can't use this app to synchronise the carbs, you could use it to synchronise a multi-engine drag bike.
