In for this one, that's a pretty cool idea.

A lot of people spout dislike for underglow. I say the more visible the bike, the better.

Maybe 2 different LED pods (side-by-side) on each side - 1 connected to switched 12vdc so it is always on, 1 connected to the turn signal switched line? This will give the illusion of a brighter flash while also providing a constant glow.

Yeah that's a good idea and that would work. But I am not sure I want to do it that way because I want maximum light because the 2 would only be on while turning. But this could be the only way it would work. I had an idea thought. Hook the lights up to the battery and have another wire going to the turn signals and when the turn signals are on it will send more power to the lights and make them blink. But that may take away some of the light giving off by the turn signals.

alternate flashing, blinker off, led on, led off, blinker on, is easy with one relay per side

http://m.ebay.com/itm/191396096282?nav=SEARCH Just to let you know what I am working with. I have 4 strippes in all. Yeah I really like that idea. Can you explain what exactly is a relay. I thought it was a switch but am not sure. Would I be able to turn that off during the day. Thanks everyone for good ideas

    get yourself two of these

    http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G20124

#85 goes to a turn signal wire......"T" connection
    #86 goes to ground
#30 goes to the wire that powers the under lights
#87a goes to the under lights

85 & 86 are the coil, when the t.s. is off power goes in 30 and out 87a....under lights are on
    t. s. on 85 & 86 (coil) open the connection from 30 to 87a....t. s. goes on, under lights go off
    ka-ping, ka-pow.

You could also try this circuit for wiring the underglow. Brake light would go to signal instead of brakes, and tail light would remain the same. I used this for my LED tail light with good results. This would retain the normal function of the existing turn and tail light while adding the additional functions of the underglow.

that is a very cool idea i'm sure it will look great!!

    but....

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, it may not be street legal.
in WI that would be illegal, please check with your state for legality..

blue lights can only be used by police/ emergency vehicles (again, WI)

maybe your state is cool with that.. i hope so, sounds like a cool idea.

I like the idea, but using amber LED strips instead of blue. The blue is illegal here is ID as well.

Yeah just looked at the laws and it said I can have any color as long as they are not flashing. So I cant make them blink. Thanks for possibly saving me money on a ticket. Thanks everyone for the good ideas. Maybe this will be useful for someone in the right state and right color Lights. The funny this is I could not order them relays right away so good thing I did not order them

I may borrow your idea using amber light strips. The diagram I posted I got from the forum and requires no relays. I can get the diodes and resistors from work.
