Things ya gotta love about this site

Ya know, it's fun collecting and restoring these bikes.... And it's fun searching for, and finding, parts----- but something that's REALLY enjoyable is the friendship, camaraderie, etc......

I just had another list member call me about a wiring puzzle on his bike, and with all the various ones I have here, I was able to not only tell him the solution but could also take a cell pic and send it right off to him. Problem solved within moments---- gotta love it

End of the teary-eyed, sappy emotional moment.... Give me a big hug, and we can all get back to whatever it is we were doing-

with the help from this site, and the contributors, my 1983 750 maxim done a 4400 mile round trip from east Tn to Colorado in sept. last year. It ran like a sowing machine ! It was the best ride I ever done and many bikers ask me where I was from and saying I remember those bikes! I'd love to do it again, but might head to New England states this summer. Keep up the good work so we can keep these bikes on the road!

 

I've never done anything mechanical in my life.
The first vehicle I've owned by myself is the bike you guys have taught me how to build.
It's not done yet, but I'm blown away by the idea that I can learn to build a bike over the internet.
I owe a lot to a lot of you. Big hugs all round.

 

Yaay! love and cuddles and sunshine and rainbows for everyone! i haven't even built mine yet, and i already love you guys. wife is starting to ask questions... mebbe i'd give her more time if she could tune my carbs!

 

Gotta say in the last few days, Hogfiddles has lent his mastery my way
I have used his knowledge and help
and I feel like I have gained a friend!

yep thanks to all the gurus on here i've managed to get towards the end of my 3 year build.

by the way, what happened to big fitz, didn't hear anything about him not visiting here anymore, hope all is well with the guy?
