I have an 82 Maxim 550. The risers and front fork bracket are a combined, cast aluminum part. I am looking to get away from the 7/8" handle bars and step up to a 1 inch bar. Is there a replacement part that could utilize bolt-on risers? Has anyone attempted to boar out the existing risers to 1inch? Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    DFranke

Why are you looking to go to a 1" bar? By doing that you will need to change all of your controls as well. On Ebay you can find risers that attach to the existing clamps and hold the larger diameter bars.
