Anybody Near Reading PA?

    I have a bobber 81' XJ650 that i've had since high school. Prob is, it just doesn't run right anymore. My father and I are fairly mechanical but it's beyond us. It runs but falls flat until it hits higher idle. Took it to one mechanic and he's a Harley guy he tinkered with it but couldn't get it right. I don't wanna sink a ton into it but im also attached to it and dont wanna let her go. I'm willing to pay for someone who knows these bikes, any help would be appreciated!

    Check your valve clearances, it's fairly simple to do and there are tutorials on this forum. After that, give the carbs a thorough cleaning and replace the wear parts as necessary.
