I took these pics after the bike was complete, well almost done, as its a never ending quest for perfection. But the blood sweat and tears that have been expended were well worth it !! Well happy the way it turned out and it gets lots of attention whenever I bring her out for a spin. Lots of smiles per miles with this one !! Planning on keeping this bike until I croak. LOL

Excellent job! If my 700 Maxim looks half as good as your ride when I get her back together I'll be pleased. You did a great job on this bike and the attention to detail is superb. - Dave

Thanks a bunch Dave. Looking at these pics again, I realise that I since replaced this original but smooth reupholstered seat with a mint stock unit, and I also upgraded the front brake lines, not willing to take a chance on the perfect looking but ancient stock rubber Items. I also repainted the rear mudguard , or fender to you guys. It was somewhat faded and going grey. It looks like brand new now. I added Wilbers ( Dutch company ), progressive style front fork springs too.

I know what you mean about perfect looking but ancient. I have new braided lines on order along with new pads and master cylinder. When the wife asked me why I was replacing perfectly good parts, I replied that I wanted to stay perfectly good looking.
