help would a xj750 wired harness fit on a xj650 82-83

    i have a 1982 xj650 and recently has some trouble with the harness im trying yo buy one but the only for a good price says 1982-1983 xj750 would it work?


    Iorder a 1980 maxim xj650 and dint work only for a plug i think it was the ignition one but i heard 1980-1981 is not the same as the 1982-1983

    There are too many differences..... Stay with the correct model and year unless you want to spend a lot of time altering it

    I'm only using the headlight and the ignition plug for the front and brake light for the back stock cdi and the other box

    Earliest 650 doesn't have a kickstand relay... Added the next year, iirc. The 82-83 650 had electronic tach. The 750 harness is a little different in size, wire terminals may be in different locations. Depending on which 750 you have, there are different sensors, different gauges , etc.......

    It sounds to much of a mission Im just going to return the 750 one and order the 650 one



    I ask because a few weeks ago I order 1980 xj650 one and didn't work for just one plug and couldn't return it back now I'm trying to get the one for it thanks by the way
