Hey, does anyone know anything about the Yamaha Radian? Stylistically, it looks very very similar to my '85 Maxim. So far I've discovered it's an inline-four like the XJ, and it seems to have been made in 600cc. Looks like a dual-disc front and drum rear, again like my '85 Maxim. Anyone got more info? Is this a decent bike?

It's a close cousin to our XJ's - uses the FZ600 motor in a Maxim-type frame with chain final drive.

A pretty good little midrange bike - was working on one for a bit this past weekend even.... very similar to the XJ's

I've heard from a former owner that he would gladly take this neglected Radian off my hands "'cause it is a screamer". Endorsment enough for me to fix it up and see what he's talking about.

A guy near me is selling a Radian on Craigslist too:

He'd give it to me for $700 if I took it off his hands ASAP. Is this a reasonable price? I haven't seen it in person or know the mileage or anything. Also, the owner insists it's a 1983, but in the little information I've found about the Radian on the Web, I haven't seen anything about an '83 model.

    It's a 1986 or newer bike.
