Hey guys I'm wondering if all xj750 81 -03 parts are all interchangeable. Can I replace parts from an 83 with an 81? This might be a stupid question but I'm just making sure

Just about everything. If it looks the same, it'll swap. Things that may be different-- the gauge clusters ---- if they are different, your harness will be different, and have different sensors, etc..... But overall, components themselves are pretty much the same across the board as long as you stay within like models. Cross models, and you will have some parts that interchange but not others.

Get the right parts book and use that - if the part is interchangeable the number will carry through. Best way to be sure. If you want another check go to a site like Partzilla where you can type the part number in and it tells you all the relevant models it was used on (not 100% accurate but a good start). With sensors and relays and stuff get the brand and serial and search by that. E.g. on my mid 80's Kawasaki's the starter relays are off the shelf items but if I search under Kawasaki - $50 plus, if I search under Toyota - $10 go figure..........

I'm also assuming that you meant 81-83, not 81-03..... Since that's what the forum title said-----

Chacal's got a pretty good compatibility list going... He calls it his catalogue! Just search out the part for your bike. then compare parts no. for other bikes. If it repeats, it's compatible.
