Setting carb float height.

    I'm going over how I set my floats on 4 hitachi HSC 32 carbs on my 82 650 seca correct me if
    I did it wrong. turn the carbs upside down, bend the tang that sits on the float valve down until
    the distance between the gasket and the highest end of both floats is 17.5 mm. make sure the spring
    loaded pin under the tang is not compressed,but,moving freely. do the same to all 4 carbs, install the covers
    then turn the set of cabs right side up.

    That's the first half of the equation. The next stage is wet setting the floats.

    NO-----17.5mm from the METAL SURFACE of the body casting NEXT to the sealing ridge, NOT from the surface of the gasket. THEN you get ready to do your wet set.
