I took the Seca out for a nice spin on a gorgeous Springtime day here in Ireland. Thought the pics might cheer up those living in the colder parts of the US and Canada, and something to look forward to shortly. This area is just 30 mins from my house, full of lovely country lanes and stunning Irish scenery. I feel very lucky to be able to enjoy this place in my backyard so to speak.

Thanks a lot. It was a lot of work to get it that nice, but worth every penny and all the sweat. I am a big Yammie fan since I owned a YAS1 125 cc two stroke back in 1971, and this is my 4th Seca 750. I have 4 other Yamahas currently in my garage as well, much to the bane of my girlfriend !!! LOL

Beautiful country! Reminds me where I grew up, you could take a nap on the road before a car would come along! Nice bike too!

LOl That's too funny !!! While I would not recommend taking a nap on any road, only 1 vehicle passed me today in the 40 mins approx. I spent on this backroad, so I would only have been run over once !!! Probably more chance of been flattened by a flock of sheep than anything else !! Ha..ha !!!!

Yeah, I'm with you Dave. It's still too cold here for me to do an oil change, let alone go out to ride. Still snow and ice on the road, along with all the sand and grit and mud that builds up all winter. When will it end. I just wanna wear jeans and a t shirt and wash the barn grime off the bike! Stoopid Canada!

It doesn't matter how soon it gets warm.... What matters for me is how soon the roads get washed clean of all dirt and grit---- can ride when it's cold cold, won't ride when there's marbles all over the roads

I remember it so well, having spent 18 years in the Boston area, and all that cruddy crap on the sides of the roads. I got a nasty little puncture once, on my first ride out to Concord, MA, and what turned out to be an almost impossible to spot tiny slit on my almost new back tyre on my Kawa ZRX1200. Goddam it !!! I was actually able to ride the bike back to Boston downtown where I lived, 25 miles away, well, South Boston, which is even further than downtown being next to the Ocean, on that flat tyre, and with no damage to the tyre structure at all. !!! Big wide tyre with small sidewalls helped a lot, but no one would fix the tyre, so I had to replace it. The garages over there are scared stiff about liabilities and Insurance claims and all that. Over here, it would have been repaired no problem.

I sold a nice white FJ1200 I had to a fella from Canada a few years back, somewhere not too far from Toronto, and am still in touch. He complains about the never ending Canadian winters, and it really is such a short riding season over there outside of maybe the West coast area, that I feel bad for you.

Thanks. Somebody in the US when I lived there told me that after they visited the whole place reminded them of a garden centre. LOL It is true. Never has such a small Island had so much scenery put into it. Even though I am a native, I never fail to be bowled over by the beauty of the place.

I ride almost all year long.... Bike season ends around late October or November depending on the weather--- sled season opens Dec 21 and goes til the snow gets too thin in march or April..... Then as the roads get washed clean, start to hop on bikes again.

I have seen a few nuts out already, but it's waaaay not safe yet--- of course, there was also the guy in a convertible too---- top down, girlfriend with him, both wrapped up in heavy winter coats, 23 degrees out.......DOH!!

Yes, A pal of mine from the Boston suburbs just told me they got an extra inch of snow and freezing conditions currently to add to the misery of their highest ever snowfall in a season. And its all come down over about a 40 day period !!! He is really jealous of me out riding my bikes and enjoying our 50f plus weather !!! I was actually out on a bike I bought off him today, which I brought back to Ireland in 2011 when I retired.. A ZRX1200r. Sweet sweet machine.
