1982 XJ750 Tachometer Ratio?

    All,

    I know that the speedometer ratio for my bike is 60Mph @ 2240 RPM

    But in my quest to buy a tach I can't figure out what I need? 4:1 ? 5:1? 7:1?

    Anyone?

    Electronic tach. No ratio. No place to hook up a mechanical tach. No place to connect a mechanical tach.

    You need an electronic tach for it. One that can be set to one spark/rpm, which I believe all the ones sold for motorcycles can do.
