I have several parts from a 1982 Seca 550 to let go to listers here for reasonable prices. If anyone has a need for any specific part, just reply. Canadian model located in Ottawa; shipping costs may be more advantageous to Canadian buyers.

Parts I DO NOT have for sale are:

Gas Tank, sender & front rubber mounts
    Grab rail (Lifting rail)
    Handlebar cap
CDI, Rectifier, Relays, and other misc electronic parts being kept as spares
Set of Carbs being kept as spares

Parts of interest to listers may include:

Sidecovers (have both but bodywork and repaint needed, no emblems)
    Airbox and intake boots
Trio of ignition switch, gas cap, and helmet lock with matching key
Instrument cluster (rough, needs one glass cover replaced, Speedo is Canadian model in KM)
    Seat (exceptional condition)
    Left and Right Handlebar controls
Complete engine with less than 10,000 miles
frame, wheels, engine sidecovers, headlight, signals, horns, etc., etc, etc.

Let me know you needs and whereabouts and I'll provide pictures and shipping quotes.

    Cheers.

Do you have the engine mount bolts? I am specifically interested in the two lower ones that go through big rubber bushings.

I do have them but have not removed the engine yet - at this point I'm not sure if its worth my while to get rid of them as I may use the engine and frame together for another project if I have no reasonable offers for both.

I'd be interested in the intake boots if they are solid and a front turn signal. Let me know what your asking, shipped to Pennsylvania.
Mine are still solid but show a lot of surface cracking.
I may also be interested in the engine side covers.
    Thanks, Michael

I'll post photos and see if you even want them first. The battery side one is hard to come by (they fell off frequently) but the airbox side one is more common. Both were painted silver on this bike but I began doing bodywork on them as there was minor dimpling and some crack repairs I wanted to make better.

    Photos to come this weekend.

Sorry about the inability to PM me - I guess my mailbox was full. It should be clear now.

y sincerest apologies to all who have posted here - I have been absent from the site for several months due to very demanding work schedules. I still have many of the parts requested, but their condition should be noted as follows:

Instrument cluster - working and available, but a little rough. Missing the round glass over the speedo, instrument faces are a little worn and the needles have been reworked (speedo needle is actually a toothpick). All parts are all 100% functional however.

Keys - have a matching set of locks and a key (ignition, seat latch, and gas tank) I'd like to sell all 3 as a unit. The only issue is the chrome cap over the gas tank latch is shot. These can be popped off and reinstalled so if you have a good chrome cap this gas tank latch will work (it is rebuilt and 100% functional). Make offer on all 3.

Signals - have a complete set of signals; all in very good condition, make offer and I'll get a shipping quote.

Fairing - I have a complete fairing that is rough but intact, and I think I have all mounting hardware for it. I also have the clear acetate windscreen but it has some scratches in it. I am only missing the clear plastic screws that attach the windscreen to the fairing and the rubber trim that goes around the fairing edge.

Have pics and will post them as soon as time allows.

Getting a quote for shipping this week. The company I work for was bought out and no longer allows shipping of personal items (they used to have a discounted rate).

If it is around $30 US to ship, (a guess at this point), would you still be interested?

    Thanks for your patience.

I'm not sure if the 550 starter will fit the 750 - best to ask the experts on this forum (Bigfitz, or Hogfiddles)

Yes I have all 3 - the gas cap, the ignition and the helmet lock, which on the Seca is also the seat lock. Not sure if that part is the same on a Maxim, or if it would fit a Maxim, since the part bolts to the frame and the frames and seats are different between the Seca and Maxim 550s. Again, the experts could tell you. Hogfiddles?

Oh, OK - I just assumed from your sig that you were looking to use those on a XJ 550 Maxim.

Just FYI: The gas tank cap had a badly damaged (rusted) chrome surface cap. Its since been sanded down in case someone wanted to use it and paint or powdercoat it. The chrome keyhole cover is fine. These chrome caps can easily be removed and replaced by bending the tang underneath the assembly at the narrow end and prying off.

The gas cap, ignition switch and helmet/seat lock have all been fully rebuilt and all 3 operate with one key (included). The key is not a Yamaha original but one cut for these tumblers.

I expect lowest cost shipping to be around $10-$15 USD; I'll check.

Would you consider $60 USD for all 3 items?

I do have the sidecovers, both left and right, they are stripped of paint - one is primed ready for paint the other has semi-complete bodywork. I have only one of the two sidecover logos.

I do have the fairing, its a bit damaged but intact. I'm only missing the plastic screws and the rubber edge trim for the clear acetate windscreen. I have a complete set of turn signals, two of which are in pristine condition.

Pics of the fairing now on my instagram:

    http://www.instagram.com/davidstantongraham/

pics of the sidecovers in their current condition can be posted if you are interested.

Well, the airbox is still in the frame and requires removing the engine from the frame to get it out, and the frame is packed away in my garage and is inaccessible until spring (April). Doubt that helps you but at least its not going anywhere. If you are in no rush and can wait until , you have first rights of refusal on it for $35 US but I'll have to look into shipping costs to WA

For the caliper, I'd take $35 CAD plus shipping. Canada Post website estimated about $15 to ship to downtown (V5N 4B4) from here. So $50 CAD should do it. I have not checked its condition but I believe it is complete and functional (under 15,000 km), but dirty. For another $30 I could fully disassemble, clean, relube the gasket and polish the piston beforehand for you (a rebuild, in effect) and take pictures as I do it. You may want to purchase a new gasket regardless. Let me know what you think.

Shoot after doing some research I think the seca caliper doesn't work with the maxim. The seca mounts on the right side and the maxim on the left. Sorry for wasting your time man.
