    typical scenario:
I'll ride for 15 minutes, or for as long as it takes for the bike to get good & warmed up.
I'll pull into a gas station, etc & when I try to start again, she just turns over & no start.

I usually have to wait 10-15 minutes & let it cool down, ten it seems to start with choke & throttle..
Not sure why, but it seems to like choke AND throttle twist to get it started again.
I'm not sure if it's not getting spark during these times of not starting.
The last time it did it, a guy stuck a screwdriver up a plug wire, & said nope, she's not getting spark...
    I couldn't verify at the time..so I don't know.

Would the first inclination be electrical component failure, or a carb issue?

    Thanks lads,
    Rich

My first indication would be lean carbs. Mainly because you said it likes choke and a twist of throttle to start. Spark is best checked with the same tool that would check a lean mixture, a colortune plug. Other than that a spark tool or just laying the plug to the side of the engine and looking for spark. The colortune is best because it will show if you have spark under compression.
Lean carbs would be due to clogged jets, low fuel level, air leak or a dirty air filter. Check these and let us know what you find.

I'll back up Max, it's the carbs.

I'd like you to carry-around with you ... One brand-new Spark Plug.

The next this happens; pull-off a Plug Cap, stick that ready-to-go, new Plug in it, ground it ... and, Determine if this is Ignition Related -- for sure!

For the mean time ... just for Old Uncle Rick ... I'd like you to pull the Boot off the Side-Stand Switch and give it a healthy shot of WD-40.

After you put the Boot back-on the switch ... shoot the Rod, that works that switch, Double-clean, with Brake Cleaner.

Where the Rod goes through the Top part of the Side-stand mount ... Clean-out that little tunnel with Brake Cleaner ... so there's nothing in there but what originally came with the bike.

After that's so clean it is as good as new ... Oil it with Engine Oil.
