I've noticed i'm feeling like the only FJ owner here. As in my FJ600 i'm working on.

When i joined i was hoping on seeing more XJ600's or at least more older sport bikes in general but maybe i'm screwed. I know they only made the FJ600 for 2 years in the US and that the maxims are very close but i still need some FJ help.

First i still need to hunt down a windscreen and a lower fairing under the exhaust. Second some FJ signals and such.

The engine i'm not worried about because i can bum parts from other yamaha's but anyone know sites that ACTUALLY HAVE FJ stuff in stock and not just sell it on their website?

Can't help with the screen and bellypan but the signals for the front are the same as FJ1100's with partnumber 5G28331070, and are still available new, the rear signals are no longer available new but the partnumber is 16G833307, and that will help locating the parts from another Yam.

A company called K & S makes "pattern" signals for Japanese bikes that are virtually indistinguishable from the OEM units. If you have trouble finding them check with XJ4Ever.

There is a company called Fairing Screen Gustafsson (Gustafsson Plastics) that makes replacement screens for virtually any bike that ever came with one: http://www.bikescreen.com/

The belly pan is going to be an eBay item; good luck.

Your FJ600 is very similar to the 550s, especially the Seca; a lot of the "consummable" parts are the same.

    Here's a link to a good parts fiche: http://www.yamahapartshouse.com/oemparts/c/yamaha/parts

Plus XJ4Ever will have most of the maintenance-type items you need. Most body parts and other cosmetic-type stuff is an eBay or scrapyard proposition, just as it is for the 550s. Remember, the XJ550 was only a 3-year bike here in the States.

Don't feel lonely for I too have an FJ600. I went to high school with a guy who now makes repro fiberglass panels for vintage bikes. I bought the lower belly pan panel from him on Ebay a couple of years ago. He goes by the name of glassndude (or something like that). The piece was perfect, outstanding quality.

The uk xj 600 (fj600) had an almost 10 year production run. Look at eBay here for spares but be aware later regulators and alternators are different. Belly pans are rare because they are easily damaged
Wemoto in the uk do some pattern spares and ship to the us.

Well here we are again. Finally putting it together and naturally still can't find a good windscreen. It appears i'll have to ebay it the bikescreen place doesn't have it. I almost won an auction last night but someone beat me by a dollar. F'n hell!

I have a baby FJ as well. Had a big FJ, but wrecked it last summer.

Belly pans for pretty much all old bikes are like hen's teeth.
You might have some luck finding the FJ600 one in Europe, but it ain't gonna be cheap, and the shipping is going to be terrible.

I'm still working on getting mine running. Got the carbs cleaned. Need to set floats, and do the valves.

Gustafson out of Florida sells new windscreens. Google them, you will find them. They aren't cheap. I took my FJ600 out last week for the first 2015 ride, it felt great.
