I'm in need of some help/suggestions,

I have a 81' 550 maxim. Had some new tires put on. Went to reinstall the rear wheel...seamed easy enough, but something isn't right.

I basically put it back the way it was, lines up the 'tick' marks on the frame w/ the chain tensioner so that both sides of the frame are on the same tick w/ respects to it's tightener. They are almost on the 4th tick counting from rear to front of the bike.

When I turn the wheel, something is rubbing or misaligned. The wheel turns good about 1/2 way then seems to bind. The chain really isn't all that tight.

I'm getting ready to take it off again. I plan on checking to see if the axel is bent by rolling it on a table. Could it be bad bearings? Any other suggestions for things to check?

    Thanks
