Bah - here in Canada, Canadian Tire stocks them as a regular item - Fram CH6003 - you even get the two O-rings in the package for about $8

I've not YET had to special order an oil filter. Perhaps one of the joys of living near a large city.

Quote=Brother in-law "Get rid of that old dinosaur, you cheap wad, and buy something with fuel injection" This is what he said to me when I inquired about carb tools. I told him that he was just getting old and lazy because he use to work on his boats/cars & bikes but sends them all to the shop now and hates to turn a wrench anymore.

One of the best ones I heard was:

    "You want to certify that?!"

    I took my business elsewhere.

Motad is still cranking out exhausts for our venerable old beasts GitarZan, you just gotta pay a fortune for it (overseas tariffs and shipping are expensive nowadays).

When I got my endorsement, the examiner (who happened to be a female) looked at my 24 year old, scruffy 550 maxim and said, "That's a pretty bike!"

    :-D
