neutral switch location ?

    Ive got an 86 xj700 maxim, liquid cooled. Can anyone tell me where the neutral switch is thats mounted on the block? Ive looked all over and i cant find it, my neutral light isnt coming on so im thinking it got disconnected or its dirty. I attachted a photo of what im looking for... switch.jpg

    The room where it happened
    It's in a recessed area directly in the bottom of the crankcase, just outside the oil pan "rail", on the left side of the engine. Hard to see or get at with the exhaust still on the bike. Almost directly above the frame tube.

    You'll know the difference between the bulb and a disconnected neutral switch. IF you can't use the starter, but can push start the bike, then you have a disconnect neutral switch.
