    Don't have a fairing (never seen one for an XJ700) but we do have a used windscreen with mounting brackets kit available for a 700, good condition, complete.

    I have a pic on my phone of a 700 with a fairing similar to the Vetter on it. It's called a "Windstar"....... I'll try and bounce a pic of it to here

    Thanks for the updates. I have seen a couple custom ones and they look pretty good but I havent been able to find something that looks decent that you can physically buy.

    Then I guess MY questions are:

    What exactly HAVE you seen?
    Where have you actually LOOKED?
    What are you actually looking FOR?

    You can make anything work.... It just may take some ingenuity and/or fabrication.

    There's everything drone the huge X1 all the way down to a simple small slipstreamer.... With the batwings, windjammers, roosters, Seca sport fairings, cafe racer fairings, bikini fairings, etc..... In the middle.

    I think you need to figure out a clearer idea of what you want, THEN start looking for THAT.

    I guess I was just looking around to see if anything looked appealing or if anyone had any ideas. I have seen one that looked pretty cool but I would have to customize my bike and basically fabricate the fairing myself. I like the batwing look but like I said I would have to tailor my bike around it. Maybe a winter project

    Shoei used to make a similar handlebar fairing in the Seventies, a couple models called the FM-1 that was smoothly rounded and the FM-2 that was more square and angular. Both are still available on E-bay both new and used. I had an FM-1 on a 2001 Suzuki SV650 and it worked very nicely, I thought anyway.

    I have a "PlexFairing" Made by National Cycle From a 1981 XJ650 in excellent shape with quick release mounts. The current price on there web site is $239.00. I would like $85.00. If you would like pictures I could send some to a email.

    Plexfairing Windshield And Mounting Brackets By National Cycle Company. My Fairing Is The Model N866. Here Is Some Description From There Web Site;

    "The Plexifairing Features Extended Hand And Leg Protection To Make Riding More Comfortable. A Protective Gasket Is Closely Fit Around The Headlight Opening. The Plexifairing Also Features QuickSet Hardware, So Riders Can Enjoy The Advantages Of Wind Protection, But Easily Leave The Fairing At Home When Desired."

    My Example Is In Really Excellent Shape With No Cracks/Breaks.

    This Could Of Course Be Adaptable To A Wide Range Of Bikes With The Included Quickset Mounts/Brackets/Rods, But Originally Came Off A Yamaha 1981 XJ650 Cruiser And Should Be A Great Fit For Your '85.

    I have the same problem, can't find anything matching my 82 xj650, neither for my 82 kawa kz1000ltd, it's either way to big, like those batwings,
    or it is just a plain windschield, please do let me know if you find something interesting.
