    hello everyone,

I just bought a 1983 midnight maxim 750, and the mufflers seem to be rusted though in a few spots. I need to fix them or buy new ones. Or get a 4 into 1 system?

Just getting it ready to pass a safety check.

Barrie... too far north? It's like a hundred k from Toronto! That's still the "deep south" of Canada! lol I had some parts (seat and side cover) delivered from a wrecker in Owen Sound and it was only 30 bux shipping! Lots of stuff to be found on Kijiji, and some will ship!

Check out Zeno cycle in east Kitchener. They may have something in their yard off the scrapped bikes that may fit possibly with a slight modification. Their salvage bikes are always rotating and the back barn has the good usable parts.

I found a list of salvage yards on another forum:
    http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/archives/showthread.php?136433-List-of-Motorcycle-Salvage-Yards
it's an old post, but there are a lot of businesses there. I checked a few of the links out, some are dead, some work, some offer free shipping!
    good luck and happy hunting
Mpg87, have you had good results with Zdeno Cycle? I read some scary bad reviews, esp. of their customer service and was curious to learn more...

They have their style of running things. The key is to be patient looking for parts and keep your eyes open. Research other bikes that are similar age. They may have parts that are the same but with different part numbers. I saw an employee in the yard that was very knowledgeable about what was there and knew the location. I haven't been there in over a year to know if he still works there. He was about 30ish and energetic. He was quite helpful for me and managed to dicker a good price for pieces I wanted with the owner. The whole family works there in their respective areas of expertise. I make sure I have lots of time to spend there, Usually about 2 hours of wandering around the yard. Like going to a flea market!
