I'm trying to bleed the front brakes on xj 750 with dual front brakes with a vacuum pump, and i can't seem to get all the air out. never worked on a dual front brake system before.

    thanks

get a big syringe and push the brake fluid up from the bleeders to the master cylinder.

I just did the brakes on my Seca without the aid of a bleeding system and it's always worked with cars as well as bikes. I start by pumping up the brakes and while holding down the brake lever then I go to the first banjo bolt past the master cylinder and slack it off till the brake lever 3/4 quarters depressed then tighten up the bolt. Then i go to the next bolt and repeat the procedure until you reach the calipers, then I use the bleeder screw. You will need some wipes to clean up a little of the brake fluid when slacken off the banjo's. It took less than 5 minutes by myself. Brakes are great nice and firm when the levers depressed and no spongy feeling.

make sure you are getting a good seal between your vacuum hose and the bleed screw and make sure your bleed screw s out as little as possible to discourage air getting in those threads. Just went through this myself a month ago, had to "customize" one of the fittings that came with my pump in order to get a good seal. (make sure someone is there topping up the fluid as you pump it out)

Check the bleeder screw holes are clear of dirt and crud. Also wrap the threads with a bit of Teflon tape to make a good seal. Be sure not to cover any the holes in the bleeder screw that you just cleared.

what he said - this method works well for me and you can solo it. A large 100ml one from Walgreens worked really well for me. you can also buy them online with the tubing attached too. I'm not sure about "pushing" I just sucked it down and kept cycling it through till no more bubbles. just be careful to keep the rez topped up. If you suck air it's a do-over.

I just put all new hydraulics on my 750 master lines calipers were empty. Put a hose on each bleeder put the hoses in a container crack the lines til you get really good flow from the hoses then bleed 1 side at a time you will have to do each side a bunch of time alternate back and forth. If you do not have a syringe.

The bleed valve must be cracked prior to squeezing the handle.
