I think they're manufactured by Polaris, aren't they? Pretty high quality snow mobiles, and the bikes look good. Much more uncommon than a HD, so if you wanna stand out, the Victory seems like the choice.
Someday I want to purchase and chop up a naked goldwing (pre 1981 IIRC). I've seen supercharger kits for them that look insane sitting on the boxer engine. Bigger sometimes is better!

FWIW, Sonny Barger traded his Harley for a Victory.

Of all the big v twin cruisers and "choppers" i sat on at the toronto motorcycle show, the victorys were my favourites. The highball"s seating position felt incredibly natural for me, but I'm 6"5 so the ape hangers and forward controls were very accessible for my long ass limbs. I think the other one that was very comfy was the cross country (?), cool fairing designs too.

One of the guys at my local bike shop has one, and he loves it. Says it is very over-designed and reliable. And according to him, it has more American-made parts than a Harley does. That could be fun to point out to your Harley-riding buddy.
Last summer I went to see a competition between different police forces doing gymkana-type courses on their bikes. There were quite a few Victories including our local police force bikes. Harleys and BMWs were well represented, and a few Kawasakis and Hondas. You could hear the Victories grinding metal on the asphalt way sooner than any of the others. So ground clearance is an issue if you want to do any spirited riding, but that's not really what they are made for anyway.

I test drove the 8 ball and the cross country. great machines, but aren't they all when they are brand new??
what i like is the fact that there is only one engine and transmission available, 106 c.i. and 6 speed, even if you get the entry level 8 Ball.
If i had to choose a new bike today and money was not an issue, a decked out 8 Ball would be my first choice.

My son-in-law had a Cross Country and he let me take it for a ride. Compared to my 700 Maxim, that thing was HUGE. Redline is 5200, my Maxim turns 5200 at 70 MPH. The Victory turns 3000 RPM at 60 MPH in 4th gear and there's still 2 more gears to go. My son-in-law said he had to do over 75 to use 6th or the bike would lug. It was comfy though.
